The Indian Railway has announced a major rollout of Amrit Bharat Express trains on 26 routes in a major boost for the connectivity of major Indian cities.
Railways Launching Amrit Bharat Train
When it comes to the Amrit Bharat train, it offers a more affordable option compared to the Vande Bharat and could benefit a lot of passengers across the country.
Coming to Amrit Bharat train, it is impressively fitted with engines at each end, and can achieve incredible speeds up to 130 km/h.

The facilities at Amrit Bharat trains
have been upgraded for non-air-conditioned three-tier sleeper and unreserved coaches.
Reportedly, the coaches of the special train are manufactured by Integral Coach Factory, Chennai at the cost of Rs 650 million (US$7.8 million) per train set.
Further, they are equipped with amenities like electric plugs, reading lamps, surveillance cameras, eco-friendly vacuum toilets, and even water taps activated by sensors.
Besides this they also have an informative passenger system installed.
They also have semi-permanent couplings which are incorporated to reduce the abrupt jerks felt during the speeding up or slowing down of the train.
The coaches also come outfitted with completely closed vestibules for added balance and security.
