With the most recent beta version, these smart glasses can now identify landmarks and deliver information about them.

Meta Updates Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed the new functionality on Instagram’s Meta Channel. As per Zuckerberg, “New multimodal AI feature in beta on Ray-Ban recognizes and can tell you about landmarks.”

Users can discover more about them by merely glancing at landmarks and tapping a button on the smart glasses. Before that, in December, Meta made smart glasses capable of object recognition.

Users must register for an early access program to use these features, which are presently in beta and only available in the US.

Launched in 2023, the second version of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses comes with 150 customizable frame and lens combinations. The upgraded model has a 12 MP camera sensor and better speaker performance.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform powers it, processing images, movies, and audio. In comparison to the original generation, the most recent model is lighter and slimmer. With the travel case, the battery life can last up to 36 hours.

Ray-Ban Smart Glasses Start at $299

With these smart glasses, users may broadcast live on social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram. The incorporation of Meta AI facilitates a hands-free experience using voice commands such as “Hey Meta.”

Currently, certain areas like the US and Europe are able to purchase Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.

These smart glasses have a $299 starting price.

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses now have landmark recognition, which improves their functioning. Using these smart glasses, users may now quickly obtain landmark information. Data processing on the smart glasses is made efficient by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform.

The newest Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are more comfortable to wear because of their thinner and lighter design. With a starting price of $299 and availability in a few locations, these smart glasses are affordable for those looking for wearable technology with advanced functionality.
