Honda is all set to introduce two all-new SUVs in the Indian automobile market.
This might be because the company has not been able to live up to its reputation in the Indian passenger vehicle market in the previous few years, which can be credited to the lack of an SUV.

Honda Plans To Launch Two New SUVs
One of these SUVs will belong to a sub-4 metre segment and the other will belong to a compact C-segment.
Both these SUVs will be underpinned by the Amaze platform and are internally called PF2 and PF2S respectively
Honda will also launch the production version of their Concept RS SUV at the 2022 GIIAS, as confirmed by reports from Indonesia. It will reportedly come with the same 1.5-liter petrol I-VTEC engine, which powers other Honda cars like City and the new BRV, and this new SUV will be named WRV.
The fifth-generation Honda City (fourth generation in India) employs a centrally positioned fuel tank, and this platform will really share a lot of similarities with it. Both Honda Cars India and its parent business in Japan are contributing to the design and engineering of the two future SUVs.
SUVs’ Design Finalized
The subcompact SUV, known as 3US, is anticipated to make its public appearance first, maybe in the middle of 2023. Honda’s compact SUV (codename: 3US) The forthcoming subcompact SUV’s design has been finalized, and engineering development is now moving along nicely.
On launch, the car will be pitted against Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and Mahindra XUV300. Whereas, the bigger compact C-segment SUV will compete against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and others.
From the Amaze, Honda will borrow powertrains that would include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated i-Vtec petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. In order to give the SUV a boost and greater fuel efficiency, Honda is also probably going to integrate some kind of hybrid technology.
As per reports, Honda plans to sell as many as 6,200 units of this SUV per month.
