It comes with new privacy updates and a new wallpaper collection coming from a collaboration between the MIUI team and the Beauty of Science (BOS) brand.

It also promises a 20–26 percent improved “fluency” for system apps and 15–52 percent improved “fluency” for third-party apps compared to the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

End Of Support For Android 11

These devices use the old Android version, which is 11, making it difficult to adapt new features to the old framework.

It will drop support for Android 11 devices and will be moving on with newer devices from now on.

There is no official information as to when MIUI 13.5 will be released.

More details might be shared when the Xiaomi 12 Ultra debuts in June or July this year.

Next Update

The next Android 13 beta update is scheduled to be released in June.

This update will be called Platform Stability, since it will have the final SDK and BDK APIs along with app-facing system behaviours of the OS.

It’s important to note that since these are beta updates, they are likely to be buggy.

Feature Highlights

Some key features to note are :

Mi Magic Center: allows users to manage the complete Xiaomi ecosystem under a single window

MiSans: simple font optimized for Chinese and English languages to present clear visibility and comfortable reading.

Mi Smart Hub: offers a more connected experience between all the smart devices.

Dynamic Widgets: new dynamic wallpapers, face verification protection, document watermarking and telecommunication fraud protection.
