Google I/O 2022, which is the Google annual developer conference, is around the corner. It has stated on May 11, where Google I/O is expected to announce the latest Android 13 features along with a bunch of other things.
Upgrades to its products like Android OS, Chrome OS, Google Play, and Maps, among others shall also be introduced by Google. There will be a a speech from Google CEO Sundar Pichai in the event which will last through May 12.
There are also chances that the conference shall be used by Google to launch their mid-range smartphone Google Pixel 6a and Pixel watches.
Following is what can be expected from the conference of 2 days :
Android 13
As the beta version of the same has already been launched, it is expected that Google will announce the new Android 13. There would not be a major design overhaul. A new tap-to-transfer (TTT) system can be introduced with the update, which will allow the users to pass on media controls to other devices. It is believed that Google will include Fast Pair natively in Android 13. A new Photo Picker feature which will allow users to share photos and videos securely with other apps.
Pixel 6a
Most probably, Google shall announce its mid-range smartphone, Google Pixel 6a. According to the rumours, the model is expected to have a 90Hz 6.2-inch FHD+ display. Most likely the 6a will be powered by Google’s own Tensor processor, with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Expected to have a battery of 4,5000mAh, the phone will run on Android 12 operating system.
Pixel Watch
Reportedly, 2022 can see the launch of Google’s Pixel Watch. When it comes to the features, it will include a circular design, a physical crown, and Fitbit integration. SPO2 tracking, sleep apnea diagnosis, heartbeat alarm, stress tracking, and calorie tracking.
Pixel Fold
Google’s first foldable display smartphone, The Pixel Fold is expected to be launched in the event. The device which made lot of headlines is expected to have an Android 12L operating system.
New Nest Hub
New Nest smart speakers and smart displays is likely to be announced by Google. Just like the last year’s conference, there are bright chances that the business will unveil a new Nest smart display at Google I/O 2022.According to reports, Nest is planning to release a smart display with a removable screen.
