There is a rise in the total number of jobs offered in the Indian Institute of Technology!

A student of the Indian Institute of Technology has received an offer of the highest domestic package of Rs 1.8 crore!

A few days back we got to know about a student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee who has received an offer of Rs 2.15 crore per annum. Again a student of IIT Bombay was offered roughly around Rs 2.05 crore by Uber and another student of IIT Guwahati has been offered Rs 2 crores per annum this year.

IIT-Bombay 

In the first phase of campus placements, which ended on December 18, nearly 1,400 students from IIT-Bombay obtained a job. This year, 1,723 offers were received, which is a bigger number than in previous years.

IIT-Delhi 

Around 80% of IIT-Delhi students who signed up for placement had already found employment within the first 15 days of the placement.

 IIT-D received 1,250 bids, the most ever and a 45 per cent increase over the previous year’s first 15 days.

 The average compensation, too, went up by 20%.

IIT Madras 

 IIT Madras, at the end of Phase I, 73 % of students had obtained job offers.

At the end of Phase I, the total number of offers was 1,316, including 231 pre-placement offers.

Phase I attracted a total of 1,500 students. For Phase I of placements, a total of 1,500 students were registered.

Indian Institute Of Kanpur

On December 1, the Indian Institute of Kanpur is done with the first phase of 2021-22 placements.

In the initial phase, students were presented with 1,300 offers, of which 1,100 were accepted. This is in addition to the 156 pre-placement offers they have received, according to the institute.

The highest international offer is USD 287,550 (nearly Rs 2 crore) while the highest domestic offer is Rs 1.2 crore. In total, students have received 49 offers above Rs 1 crore, it added.

“The institute received an impressive 47 international offers at the end of Phase I. It sees a big jump of 150% as compared to last year when a total of 19 international offers were received,” an official statement said.

Professor Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur said, “…The resourcefulness and expertise IIT Kanpur possess are reflected in the trust the recruiters are bestowing upon us with such a high number of offers across all sectors. This is also a positive indication of the steady revival of the economy and the increase in core sector jobs. I congratulate the students who are placed in Phase I and am quite hopeful that we’d continue the run in the same spirit in the second phase as well.”
