Vodafone Idea is grabbing headlines!

Have you heard that Vodafone Idea just exhibited 5G network use cases in Pune, Maharashtra, and Gandhinagar, Gujarat?

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has allotted 26 GHz and 3.5 GHz spectrum in the mmWave band for 5G trials.

Vi has reached peak speeds of more than 1.5 gigabits per second on 3.5 GHz, more than 4.2 gigabits per second on 26 GHz, and up to 9.8 gigabits per second on the E-band backhaul spectrum.

Vodafone Idea 5G Trials In India

Vodafone Idea has begun to use the Department of Telecommunications’ trial 5G spectrum and has collaborated with industry players such as Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Smart World & Communication, Athonet, Nokia, and a few homegrown startups Vizzbee and Tweek Labs.

5G, according to Nevatia, will allow for new transaction systems and alliances. However, Nevatia remained tight-lipped about the specifics of these systems or relationships.

It will not be right to speculate on what these models according to Nevatia, as they are still in progress.

Airtel 5G Trials

You all must be aware by now that Bharti Airtel has conducted India’s first 5G trial on the 700 MHz band!

 On the outskirts of Kolkata, Bharti Airtel also announced on Thursday that it is in standalone mode cooperation with Nokia.

“5G deployment using 700 MHz spectrum is helping communications service providers across the world to cost-effectively provide mobile broadband in remote areas, where typically it is challenging for them to set up the network infrastructure.”
