Indore received the highest score of 5,618.14 out of 6,000 in the government’s Swachh Survekshan 2021 results, which were released on Saturday morning.

Indore- India’s Cleanest City
Surat in Gujarat was ranked second with 5,559.21 marks. The award was given by President Ram Nath Kovind at a ceremony in New Delhi and here the announcement about Indore becoming the cleanest city for the fifth time in a row was made.
So this is something which should be celebrated right.
Residents, civic workers, and public figures were spotted waving brooms and dancing to drum beats at the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) headquarters to celebrate Indore’s triumph.
Indore Won The Safai Mitra Suraksha Challenge Award
Indore was also awarded the ‘Safai Mitra Suraksha Challenge’ for outstanding efforts to ensure a safe working environment for sanitation and drainage workers cleaning sewers and manholes.
“It certainly is a pleasurable moment for all of us as Indore has managed to sustain the cleanest city title for the fifth time. We expect people’s support and cooperation in future as well,” the commissioner told TOI.
