Oyo Will Allow Hotels To Self-Signup & Get On-Board In 30 Minutes! How Will It Work?

In only 30 minutes after self registering on the platform, hotels will go live on OYO’s listing, with its photographs and locations accessible to all.

In a drive to optimise registration and onboarding processes for hotels and improve overall user experience for customers, the Indian unicorn OYO Rooms is channeling rigorously towards its technical support.

Trak.in had earlier this month reported on OYO’s evolution towards a global full-stack technology provider for small and mid-sized hotels and homes, which would lead to a hiring spree of about 300 engineering recruits.

Sources privy to the matter have informed that the unicorn is on its way towards launching a new self sign-up service for hotels, which list them on the platform in only 30 minutes of signing up.

This means, in only 30 minutes after self registering on the platform, hotels will go live on OYO’s listing, with its photographs and locations accessible to all.

This feat is aimed at increasing the number of sign-ups on the platform, which saw a heavy decline as the coronavirus pandemic baffled the hospitality sector.

OYO’s Self Sign-Up Module

In an attempt to increase the caseload of hotels registered on its platform, OYO is working towards soon launching a self sign-up service for hotels, which will let them be listed on the platform in only 30 minutes.

Sources familiar to the matter have informed that the sign-up process for hotels is easy and user friendly.

To do so, a hotel owner must simply select a category under the ‘Long-Term Stay’ on OYO’s website. On selecting the desired option, the hotelier will be shown an estimated amount of revenue they can earn on joining the platform, which is calculated based upon local competition and demand patterns, including the location of the property.

On joining the platform, the hotel’s pictures and location will be listed on Oyo’s list online and will be depicted on the publicly available information of the property, including other online travel agencies.

For this, the hotel will be charged at a base rate of 20%, not inclusive of GST and service fee. Oyo will control the hotel’s room prices and subsequent inventory.

OYO to Brand Registered Hotels After 2 Weeks

While the property will go live on OYO’s platform in 30 minutes from signing up, OYO will take another 14 days’ time to onboard all due diligence and keep a tight control on the quality of inventory.

Once all of this is done, OYO will (after a period of 14 days) brand the property.

Furthermore, to improve its customer relations and overall experience, the unicorn will send out user-generated audit forms to customers checked-into its registered hotels, in only 1 hour of their check-in.

Their responses will pave the way for all the necessary changes to be made, if required.

The company has increased its investment in technology, including human resources by over 60 percent in the last two-three years, stated Moneycontrol.
