And this year, December will have 11 bank holidays, which has been confirmed by RBI.

Death Anniversary of U SoSo Tham/Losoong/Namsoong: December 18
Goa Liberation Day: December 19
Christmas Festival: December 24
Christmas: December 25
Christmas Festival: December 26
U Kiang Nangbah: December 30
Year’s Eve: December 31
Now, some of these holidays are regional centric, and bank branches in other locations wont get impacted.
For example, on December 1st, only banks in and around Hyderabad was closed.
However, the big ones: Christmas, New year are common for entire India, and all banks will be closed on December 25th, 26th, along with December 31st.
Besides, there can be sudden bank strikes as well, for which you should be prepared.
