Govt of India has found that AliExpress and 43 other Chinese apps are a threat to India’s national security, and as a result, they have banned them.
177 Chinese apps have already been banned in India, which include TikTok as well.

AliExpress Banned in India
Under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, Indian Govt has banned popular ecommerce app AliExpress, along with 42 other apps.
10 year old AliExpress is owned by Alibaba, the Chinese Internet behemoth, and provides a platform for millions of small business owners to sell their products online, globally.
In a notification, Govt of India said, “This action was taken based on the inputs regarding these apps for engaging in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”
This decision to ban AliExpress and 42 other Chinese apps was taken by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, based on the inputs of Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs.
