World’s biggest online streaming app: Netflix is now all set to lure more Indians into their app, and make them their permanent customers.
As part of this endeavor, and to let new Indian users get a taste of Netflix content, two days of free access has been announced.

Free Netflix Access For These Dates
On December 5th and 6th, Netflix will allow every Indian to get a free access to their entire database of content.
There are no hidden strings and charges: All you need to do is register with your phone number and email id, and start watching free content.
In order to register for free Netflix for two days, users should visit here: netflix.com/StreamFest, and enter their details and start watching on December 5th and 6th.
What’s The Catch?
Netflix won’t ask for any credit or debit card details, and the access will be provided solely based on the registration.
However, via one registration, only one person can watch the shows. The free access cannot be shared with friends and families.
Confirming this, Monika Shergill, Vice President, Content, Netflix India said, “Anyone who signs in during StreamFest gets one stream in standard definition so, no one else can use the same login information to stream,”
Besides, for these two dates, users can watch all the content of Netflix, without any limitations or boundaries.
Why Netflix Is Doing This?
The main purpose is to expand their userbase, and to entice more and more first time users into their app.
The other reason is to create awareness, and to make more users aware about Netflix, and convince them to subscribe to their plans.
Greg Peters, COO and Chief Product Officer at Netflix said, “We think that giving away everyone in a country access to Netflix for free for a weekend could be a great way to expose a bunch of new people to the amazing stories that we have, the service and how it works,”
