No, Govt Hasn’t Allowed PUBG Comeback; But Pre-Registrations Cross 2 Lakh At Unverified Page

Few days back, reports had come in that PUBG Mobile is making a comeback in India, and Indian fans of this popular game were elated.

But sorry to burst the bubble, PUBG Mobile is not coming back, unless Govt approves it.

And as of today, at the time of writing this blog, Govt hasn’t approved the return of PUBG in India.

Meanwhile, at an unverified page, pre-registrations for PUBG Mobile India has crossed 2 lakh.

What exactly is happening here?

PUBG Mobile Hasn’t Been Allowed By Govt, Yet

After PUBG owners released a statement that they bringing the game back to India, Govt sources have denied about any such clearance.

The game is still banned in India, and Govt hasn’t yet allowed its re-entry.

One of the Govt sources said, “Unless they address the concerns, it will be difficult to grant any relaxation.”

This means that PUBG mobile isn’t coming back, or rather, we don’t have any date as to when it will return.

Although PUBG Corporation, the Korea-based parent company of PUBG has already assured that they will invest $100 million in India, hire Indian employees, and take care of every aspect related to data privacy and security.

In fact, there won’t be any Chinese connection with the game now, as Microsoft will be publishing the game, via their Azure platform.

But it seems that Govt is not convinced as of now.

Pre-Registrations Cross 2 Lakh At Unverified Page

At the same time, an unverified listing for “PUBG Mobile India” has been created at TapTap, a platform for game lovers.

And as of now, pre-registrations have crossed 2 lakh mark.

PUBG Corporation hasn’t confirmed about this listing, but still, desperate Indian fans are thronging this unverified listing, and registering themselves to get the game asap.

We will strongly advise avoiding registering at such unverified pages, and wait for official confirmation from PUBG Corporation, as well as Govt of India on the comeback of this game.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
