Every Indian Will Need Certificate Of Coronavirus Vaccination, Stored In DigiLocker

As per reports, a government senior health official said that upon receiving COVID-19 vaccine shots you will get a digital certificate to prove your immunization against the disease.

Know More About The Digital Certificate!

An expert group appointed by the Centre that is tracking vaccine development and its procurement in the country an abroad suggested a need for a digital system to keep track of who gets the vaccine.

A provisional certificate might be issued for the vaccine that has to be taken twice. The date and information of two separate doses administered will be mentioned on this certificate.

A government official mentioned in ET report said: “The idea is that people should have a vaccination certificate that will show the complete course, depending upon the doses of the vaccine. This will be issued to a person and will be stored in the DigiLocker.”

The official further said, “The certificate will be issued after the complete course.”

A government app called DigiLocker stores all verified documents and certificates. This will be used to store the COVID-19 vaccine certificate as well. 

You can easily download the documents on your smartphone and travel anywhere. 

When Will The Vaccine Be Available in India?

As per reports, on Thursday, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Harsh Vardhan said that coronavirus vaccine will likely be available in India by the beginning of 2021. 

Vardhan said in the Rajya Sabha: “India is making effective efforts to develop a vaccine like the rest of the world. Three vaccine candidates are in phase one, two, and three of clinical trials.”
