Colleges Are Opening From October 1st In This State For Offline Classes

The office of Deputy CM of Karnataka who is also the Minister for Higher Education, Dr. C N Ashwath Narayan confirmed on August 25 that colleges would begin offline classes from October 1.

Online Classes To Start From Next Month in Karnataka!

The COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown has shut all the educational institutions since March 2020. Recently the Center had announced that the re-opening of the schools will happen in a phased-wise manner.

Some universities in India have already started taking online classes for students. 

The online classes in Karnataka are scheduled to start on September 1, amidst the admission processes and entrance examinations for various schools and colleges. 

Although, no official order has been issued yet by the Karnataka government regarding the commencement of offline classes. 

Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar stated that “the government will follow the Union government’s decision in this regard”.

Many are speculating the commencement of offline classes in colleges and schools which doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon. 

Karnataka State Law University Under Severe Criticism!

Karnataka State Law University’s decision to conduct exams for students of all years has received harsh criticism by the student community and even former CM Siddaramaiah.

The Union government has asked the educational institutes that came under its umbrella to hold exams only for final year students.

As per sources, the university is following the dates decided by the law department and Bar. It also doesn’t come under the purview of the state government.
