This Is How Accenture’s U.S. Northeast Employees Are Ensuring “Stress-Free” Work From Home Model

Leading multinational professional services company, Accenture Plc, wants stress-free employees, and they are encouraging managerial decisions that ensure that their employees’ well being.

For instance, employees at Accenture’s U.S. Northeast are limiting work hours, and creating rules for ensuring stress free work from home environment.

Some of these include ending conference calls by 5:30 p.m. and reducing the number of meetings on Fridays among many others.

No Meetings After 5.30 pm, Lesser Friday Meetings, Accenture Helps Employees Deal With Stress

Jack Azagury, who is the market unit lead of Accenture for the northeast US and manages more than 10000 employees, has asked his team to end conference calls by 5:30 p.m. every day. He has also asked employees to limit the number of meetings on Fridays during the summer. The company is also training its employees to help them deal with stress. 

He said, “We’ve been very focused on mental health and helping people make sure they take breaks. It’s not like we’re working from home — it’s that we’re living in the office. We do need to be very careful about people burning out.”

Accenture has about 500,000 employees in 200 offices across the globe. As the coronavirus pandemic started spreading rapidly, the company sent about 95% of its employees to work from the safety of their homes. Despite the fact that work productivity increased in the lockdown period the company is also keeping track of how employees are maintaining the balance between their work and their personal life. 

Accenture Restarting Offices; Safety Precautions Implemented

While people started showing more efficiency in their work, the shutting down of restaurants, gyms, theatres, and malls saw to it that they had no room for entertainment other than their homes. Therefore, managing work-related stress has become a priority for the company.

Accenture is planning to ask employees to work from the work places, only if the employee’s job profiles comprises of on-site work.

The company is also planning to make changes to the kitchen and common areas where the rush of employees is more so as to control the spreading of the virus. This also ensures that social distancing norms are met with.
