Jaspal Bhatti Starrer Flop Show To Be Rerun On Doordarshan
Reports have suggested that “Flop Show”, starring our all time favourite actor, the late Jaspal Bhatti, will be running on the channel as well. DD National has announced the rerun of the channel on Twitter. The channel, along with a picture from the show, tweeted, “Watch Comedy King Jaspal Bhatti’s most popular show #FlopShow everyday at 6 pm on @DDNational.”
The show has been written, directed by Jaspal Bhatti, who is no longer with us. And the show has been produced by him and his wife, Savita Bhatti.
It was in October 2012 when Jaspal Bhatti met with an unfortunate accident that claimed his life. To say that we are all very happy to see our favorite comedian on TV yet again is an understatement!
His wife, Savita Bhatti, has expressed her happiness at the rerun of the show on the Government owned public service broadcaster. She said, “I feel happy that there are so many of them in the current generation who don’t know about him and still know the kind of vision he had, which stands unparalleled still today. I would really be the happiest to see Flop Show on TV again.”
Flop Show will be aired on Doordarshan at 6 pm every day!
Doordarshan’s Reruns Boost Popularity Of The Channel
Ever since the lockdown has been announced, Doordarshan has been rerunning its old classics to entertain the citizens of India who have been confined to their homes. Some of these shows have been Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shri Krishna, Dekh Bhai Dekh, and Shrimaan Shrimati, which have been huge hits and wildly popular in their day.
In fact, the reruns of Ramayana and Shaktimaan have helped Doordarshan to boost its popularity and bumped the channel to be the most watched channel in India. Only last week, the channel also reintroduced two of its 80s sitcoms Idhar Udhar and Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi as well.
