It rained smartphones in August in India, and September seems to be no different. After a streak of launches in the month of August, now we are set to step into the next one with much bigger upcoming launches.

From Xiaomi Poco F1 to Nokia 6.1 Plus to Realme 2 to Honor Play to Note 9, August had some of the most important launches of the year.

But in September, things are going to be bigger. The festive season is set to kick in, and we have some of the biggest upcoming smartphone launches. New iPhones to Xiaomi Mi 8 to Honor 8X, there’s a lot in the box to be unveiled in September.

The list comprises of the smartphones which are confirmed to be launching in September or are expected to be launched in the country in September.

2018 Apple iPhones

Apple will probably launch three new iPhone models to follow up iPhone X and iPhone 8 models. Among the rumors, the company is expected to launch a successor to the iPhone X, a larger-sized version of the iPhone X and a budget iPhone X which will replace iPhone 8. Several leaks suggest that Apple might be skipping the iPhone 9, though we need to wait till the official details are out.

The upcoming iPhones are being assumed to be the previous generations of X, which are presumed to be called the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus, and 2018 iPhone X.

Xiaomi Mi 8

After a successful launch of Xiaomi Poco F1 last week, the company is now gearing up to launch Mi 8 in the country. Several leaks poured in that Xiaomi will launch Mi 8 in India in September. The smartphone comes in several variants and we are expecting the Chinese company to launch the base variant and the toned-down SD 710 processor variant in India.

Xiaomi Mi 8 comes with a 6.2 inch Full HD+ display with a notch at the top backed by an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset and is expected to go on sale for under Rs 30,000 in the country.

Honor 8X & 8X Max

The Huawei sub-brand Honor is launching two 7X successors on September 5 in China. The smartphones are expected to make its India debut soon, probably by the end of September or early October. Honor 8X will see a fresh upgrade with an all-new water-drop notch design, a better processor, an improved rear dual camera system, a bigger battery and more.

Coming to Honor 8X Max, the smartphone will see similar internals with a maxed out display and battery. Both the smartphones are expected to come at a starting price below Rs 15,000.

Vivo V11 & V11 Pro

Vivo has confirmed that the company will be launching Vivo V11 and V11 Pro in the country on September 6. Backed by new display trend of water-drop notch, the Vivo V11 Pro will be highly inspired by the newly-launched Oppo F9 Pro. The smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset. It will come with a rear dual camera system, 3,400 mAh battery and a 25-megapixel front shooter.

Coming to Vivo V11, the smartphone is expected to be more or less similar to the Vivo V11 Pro in terms of design, internals and specifications.

Nokia 8110 4G

The famous Matrix Banana phone launched earlier this year will finally be making its way into the country officially. The Nokia 8110 4G feature phone is expected to be priced under Rs 5,000 and will be sold online and offline. The smartphone is currently available in India via Amazon, sold by unauthorized vendors at around Rs 6,000. The smartphone is available globally for £69.99 (in the UK) which translates to around Rs 6,250.

The Nokia 8110 4G feature phone will come with a sliding cover on top and a standard T9 keypad under, a 2.4-inch standard display and a Snapdragon 205 processor.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3

Xiaomi will launch its own truly bezel-less smartphone, Mi MIX 3 this September. Just like Vivo NEX and Oppo Find X, the Mi MIX 3 will come with a zero-bezel display. After launching a number of notched devices, the Mi MIX 3 is going to be the first truly bezel-less device from the house of Xiaomi. The smartphone will first launch in China, and is expected to make its India debut by the end of September or early October.

Mi MIX 3 will have a zero bezels, a pop-up selfie camera like NEX, dual rear camera system, wireless charging support, Snapdragon 845 chipset and more.

Motorola P30

The Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to launch its newly-unveiled Motorola P30 in the country in September. Motorola P30 marked an all-new brand new series with the notch at the top and colors. The smartphone comes with a 6.2 Full HD+ 19:9 notched display, Snapdragon 636 processor, dual cameras, fast charging and more. The smartphone is going be priced around Rs 20,000 in India.

There has been no official word from Motorola or Lenovo on its India launch, but we are expecting the smartphone to be available globally via IFA 2018.

Lenovo Z5

Lenovo recently announced its future plans for India and is all set to re-enter the Indian market. The latest mid-range ‘Z series’ launched in China back in June would make its debut in India starting with Lenovo Z5. The Z5 is a bezel-less smartphone which comes with a 6.2 inch Full HD+ notched 19:9 display with over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, Snapdragon 636, 6GB of RAM, Android 8.1 Oreo and more.

Lenovo Z5 packs a rear dual camera comprising of a 16MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP secondary depth sensor backed by AI. Lenovo Z5 costs 1299 Yuan (around Rs 13,500) in China.
