Internal Storage

Xiaomi has launched the 128GB variant of Mi MIX 2 in India. Like all Xiaomi’s flagships, it does not support expandable storage. There’s a Special Edition of the MIX 2, sporting an all-ceramic build and 8GB of RAM. But that one is not expected to be launched in India.

Price and Variants

Availability

The Mi MIX 2 will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Mi.com. There will be a preview sale taking place on October 17. The smartphone will be available to buy from the first week of November. Afterwards, it will go on sale at Mi Home Stores and other official offline Mi retail partners.

Preliminary Verdict

This is Xiaomi’s latest premium flagship handset launch in the country since the Xiaomi Mi 5, which happened almost two years back. It seems the Chinese smartphone maker is taking the Indian market more seriously, and is pushing premium products into the market lately. Mi MIX 2 offers top notch specifications. It will go head-to-head against the likes of OnePlus 5, Nokia 8, iPhone 7 and the LG G6.

Xiaomi didn’t see much success with Xiaomi Mi 5 in India, like it did with it’s other quality budget phones. So, it will be interesting to see whether Mi MIX 2 can entice people to buy premium smartphones from Xiaomi.
