Majority of Indian mobile users face this problem – they are unable to monitor or track their talktime and mobile data balance effectively. Yes, mobile operators do send you alerts and messages of your usage, but pinpointing when and where your talk-time balance was used is always very difficult to track.
Freecharge, one of the leading mobile wallet companies in India has launched a mobile app that solves this problem. Called ‘Juice – Phone Buddy’ app, it helps you to track your balance and daily consumption of talktime and mobile data in real time.

- information on how much talk-time or data you are spending and where
- Monitor talk-time balance, data balance, voice usage and data usage on a single screen
- Suggestions for recharge plans best suited for your consumption
How Does Juice app track?
Juice app reads information from 2 sources – it reads your call and SMS logs to aggregate voice and SMS usage. It also accesses information from the pop-ups (alerts) that the operator sends after every call or data usage. The app can then effectively track the balance and deductions from your prepaid balance.
Limitations
The app is currently in Beta and does not support few device models from manufacturers like Xiaomi, Micromax etc. The App supports Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Cellone (BSNL GSM), Reliance GSM and Aircel networks. Also, if you are using a Dual SIM phone, it will track usage of only the primary SIM card.
We tried downloading this app on Moto X Play and OnePlus 2 – however, the app was not compatible for either of the models. As a workaround, we downloaded the APK (from here) and installed it on the OnePlus phone.
The Juice app got installed on the phone without any issue. Also, it seemed to be working fine. But we will test the app over next few days and update you with our experience.
