Micromax has finally launched its much awaited tablet and it does not disappoint. Micromax Funbook has decent specifications and is competitively priced tablet that would surely appeal to younger crowd, especially students.
Looks like Micromax is going to leave no stone unturned with Funbook – They already have a dedicated microsite in place for this tablet and looks like very soon commercials will be splashed all cross the TV channels.

Micromax Funbook is specifically targeted at students offering various content which will appeal to them. According to their website, Micromax Funbook has a dedicated E-learning app which carries reading materials, videos, multimedia, tests, assessment, references from leading content brands like Pearson, Everonn, GK Publishers, Scholarshub, Vidyalankar, Universal Tutorials, CAPS, Zion and many more. The app also has more than 500 smart courses ranging from Class 1 to Degree courses and even preparatory material for Medical, Engineering and MBA, making it India’s largest education exchange.
Micromax has made partnerships with content provider making this tablet content rich. For entertainment purposes, Funbook has tied up with Bollywood hungama to offer over 6000 songs & 4000 videos to its users. Although, most of this is available through various apps on any android tablet, Micromax comes preinstalled with all these apps, making it easier for a novice users. Similarly they have tied up with Indiagames.com for Android games and Bigflix.com for movies.
The Micromax Funbook also sports live TV, which is made available in partnership with Zenga TV. Although, not specifically mentioned – Micromax seems to have its own app marketplace on Funbook.
