Food delivery apps like Zomato have revolutionized how we access our favorite meals, making it easier than ever to enjoy a wide variety of cuisines without leaving home. Now, Zomato has introduced a new feature that takes this convenience to the next level: Group Ordering.

Zomato's Group Ordering Feature Launched: Sharable Link Can Be Used To Add Items In The Same Order

How It Works: Zomato’s Group Ordering feature allows users to share a link with friends or family, enabling everyone to add their favorite dishes to the cart. This eliminates the need to pass around a phone or compile individual orders manually, streamlining the entire process. Whether you’re planning a house party or a casual get-together, this feature ensures that everyone gets exactly what they want with minimal hassle.

Rolling Out Gradually: The feature was announced by Zomato’s founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, on LinkedIn. According to Goyal, the Group Ordering option is being gradually rolled out to all users. He encouraged customers to try it out and share their experiences. “If the feature is available to you, try it for your house party tonight and let us know how it goes,” Goyal wrote.

Enhancing User Convenience: Zomato has been consistently adding new features to enhance user experience. Just last month, the company introduced an “Order Delete” feature, allowing users to delete their order history. This was announced humorously by Goyal on his X (formerly Twitter) handle after a user joked about his wife discovering his late-night snack orders.

Conclusion: With these continuous updates, Zomato is not just making food delivery more convenient but also more user-friendly, catering to the needs of its diverse customer base. The Group Ordering feature is a testament to Zomato’s commitment to innovation, making it easier for friends and families to share meals, no matter the occasion.
