Whatsapp Launches Screenlock For Web Users: Will This Help In Securing Privacy? (Beta Testing Is On..)

How to Enable WhatsApp Web’s New Screen Lock Feature for Added Security

As reported by WABetaInfo, users can activate this feature by accessing the settings on their WhatsApp web application and toggling the option under Privacy settings. Upon enabling it, you will be prompted to create a password for this feature. Subsequently, you’ll be required to enter this password each time you access the application; otherwise, your notifications and chat messages won’t be visible. This feature is currently accessible in WhatsApp Beta 2.2333.11 for the web.

Enhanced Group Call Features and Improved User Interface

In addition to this, WhatsApp is testing improved functionalities for group calls with the latest beta version 2.23.17.7 for Android. The user interface has been refined and upgraded to display the type of call in the bottom row, and it includes a new button for adding contacts or participants to the call.

For the uninitiated, WhatsApp, a widely embraced messaging application, empowers users to send messages, conduct voice and video conversations, share diverse forms of media, and partake in group dialogues. Leveraging the internet for these operations, it presents an economical choice for communication, whether on a local or international scale. Its prominent attributes encompass text messaging, high-quality voice and video calls, media sharing capabilities, group chat functionality, robust privacy facilitated by end-to-end encryption, status updates, voice messaging, WhatsApp Web for accessing the platform via computer, and a specialized WhatsApp Business application tailored to the needs of small enterprises. Its reputation for cost-effectiveness has solidified its standing as a preferred means of worldwide communication, and it offers compatibility across various platforms.
