Meta owned instant messaging giant WhatsApp is now planning to launch features which would further elevate their messaging experience. In the coming list of releases, there is a feature which shall allow the users to transform images to stickers.

Avatars to Stickers Control and Interoperability

As per the reports by WABetaInfo, settings to grants user control to convert avatars to stickers are granted by WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.6.8.

As per the company, this elevates the privacy and security and empowers users to manage the utilization of their personal images within the app.

The incorporation of Unicode 15.1 emojis into the app’s keyboard is also one of the recent developments. There is another talk in the town wherein Meta is exploring options to integrate messages from the third-party instant messaging services into WhatsApp, this hints at the future shift towards interoperability.

Though this level of interoperability is not clear at the moment, but what can be said at the moment is that not all features that are observed in beta testing will make it to the official app.

New Third-Party Chat Segment

Based on user feedback and strategic objectives, Meta will further decide prioritization of other developments. Valuable insights are provided through beta testing.

There are industry regulations as per which it has been mandated large companies to facilitate communication between various messaging apps within a six-month timeframe.

A new segment is in development by WhatsApp dedicated to third-party chats which are currently accessible in the WhatsApp beta version 2.24.5.18, build version 2.24.5.18.

There was also a leaked screenshot that indicates that the chat interoperability feature shall be an opt in functionality, which basically means that users who intend to use it, will have to manually activate the same.
