Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro Launched Globally With MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Chip; India Launch On This Date?

Vivo has officially announced that the global debut of its latest smartphones, the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro, has been launched globally on December 14. These smartphones had previously been launched in China on November 14, 2023.

According to the latest information, the flagship Vivo devices are set to be introduced in the Indian market in January 2024. Considering past patterns, it is reasonable to speculate that the India launch might occur on January 14, 2024, although Vivo India has not confirmed this, as per a report from 91Mobiles citing industry sources.

Simultaneously, reports indicate that the smartphones are already in production at Vivo’s manufacturing facilities in India, with exports to Bhutan and Malaysia already underway, as reported by ET Telecom.

As is customary with Vivo flagship models, the camera is anticipated to be a standout feature. Vivo has hinted at a camera capability specifically designed for India in the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro, allowing users to capture the “radiance of sunlight during sunrise and sunset.”

Some confirmed details about the Vivo X100 include its MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, Android 14-based OriginOS 4, a 6.78-inch 8 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the use of Vivo’s custom V3 chip for photography.

Both the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro is boasting a triple-rear camera setup powered by Zeiss lenses. The X100 includes a 50MP main sensor with a Sony IMX VCS sensor and a 64MP telephoto camera with a Zeiss lens, offering up to 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the X100 Pro will feature a 50MP primary sensor with a Sony IMX989 lens and a 50MP Zeiss lens, providing an impressive 4.3x optical zoom. Both devices are equipped with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera for exceptional photography capabilities.

Color options for the smartphones include deep bluish-grey and leather-y orange variants. The Vivo X100 is confirmed to have a 5,000 mAh battery with 120 W fast charging, while the Vivo X100 Pro will feature a 5,400 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging support.
