Vivo Gears Up For The Launch of  Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro

Adding to the anticipation is the imminent arrival of the Vivo X100 Pro+, a third model in the series. Recent revelations from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo shed light on the camera specifications of this upcoming powerhouse.

According to reports, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is likely to make its debut in the first half of 2024, potentially under the name Vivo X100 Ultra.

Digital Chat Station’s leaks suggest that the Vivo X100 Pro+ is poised to showcase a groundbreaking 200-megapixel sensor, complemented by a 1/1.5-inch periscope telephoto lens.

This lens is expected to offer a remarkable 4.3x optical zoom capability, producing image resolutions akin to a 10-megapixel periscope lens with an impressive 10x optical zoom. Furthermore, the Pro+ model is anticipated to support an astounding 200-megapixel digital zoom when combined effectively.

Camera, Chipset Leaks

Initial leaks had hinted at a primary rear sensor of 50 megapixels, the Sony LYT-900, for the Vivo X100 Pro+, in addition to a 50-megapixel Sony IMX589 sensor for an ultra-wide lens and another 50-megapixel IMX758 sensor dedicated to a portrait lens.

The Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone is expected to boast the cutting-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a robust 5,400mAh battery equipped with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support, and a visually stunning 6.78-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED panel offering 2K resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate.

Further details indicate that the Vivo X100 Pro+ will run on Android 14-based OriginOS 4, featuring an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance, aligning with the offerings of the Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 models.

The initial models had debuted with MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets, expansive 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screens, and a sophisticated triple rear camera setup developed in collaboration with Zeiss. The imminent launch of the Vivo X100 Pro+ promises to elevate the smartphone experience to new heights with its advanced features and innovative camera capabilities.
