Leaks concerning design, specifications about Vivo’s upcoming budget smartphones — T2 and T2x models have been released online.
Vivo has finally started extending the official media invite for the Vivo T2 -series smartphones launch which contains launch details along with the tagline of the upcoming smartphone.
The invite states, “Get ready to experience the #TurboLife with the upcoming T2 5G Series set to make multitasking easier with 5G capabilities.”
The launch will include both Vivo T2 5G and Vivo T2x 5G smartphones.
Launch date
The launch date is no longer a mystery since the microsite of the phone is already live on Flipkart.
As per the invite and the launch page, the smartphone is set to debut in the Indian market on April 11 at 12 noon via an online launch event.
More details about the camera, processor, and launch offers will be revealed on April 7, 9, and 11, respectively.
Expected specifications: Screen
Previous leaks and rumors reveal that the phones are expected to share a lot of internals and features.
Flipkart has revealed that both the vivo T2 and the T2x will have FHD+ AMOLED displays with 1,300 nits peak brightness and 360Hz touch sampling rate and a high refresh rate (presumably 120Hz but an exact number isn’t listed).
RAM, storage
Both handsets are speculated to come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and run Android 13-based FunTouch operating system out of the box.
Processor
The Vivo T2 5G is expected to be powered by a chipset code named “Holi” – Qualcomm seems to be using this for both the Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 480.
The 695 uses newer A78 cores instead of A76.
The T2x is speculated to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.
Pricing
The Vivo T2 series phones are expected to launch in under Rs 20,000 price bracket in India.
