In China, Vivo launched its newest foldable smartphones, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and Vivo X Fold 3.

Vivo Launches Foldable Smartphones Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and Vivo X Fold 3

Vivo’s V3 image chip and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon CPUs are featured in both phones. It is stated that the Vivo X Fold 3, at 219 grams, is the lightest foldable phone in the book form.

The series has a triple rear camera array branded with Zeiss and an 8.03-inch AMOLED inner screen with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro costs CNY 9,999, while the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant costs CNY 10,999. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model of the Vivo X Fold 3 costs CNY 6,999, while the 16GB RAM + 256GB model costs CNY 7,499 in China.

Both models are presently offered in Feather White and Thin Wing Black color options for purchase in China.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has an 8.03-inch primary 2K AMOLED display and is powered by Android 14 with OriginOS 4. Up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage are included in its octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The phone has a carbon fiber hinge that is certified for 500,000 folds and is 37% lighter than hinges from prior generations.

With three cameras on its back, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a 50MP primary camera, a 64MP telephoto sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor.

Specifications and Features 

5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port are among the available connectivity choices. It has an IPX8 classification for dust and water resistance, a 3D ultrasonic dual fingerprint sensor, and facial recognition.

The 5,700mAh battery powering the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro supports both wired and wireless charging at 100W and 50W, respectively. When unfurled, it is 159.96×142.4×5.2 mm in size and 236 grams in weight.

In terms of software and display, the Vivo X Fold 3 and the Pro model have comparable specs. With up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, it is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. With a 50MP main camera and 32MP front-facing camera on both the internal and exterior screens, the phone has three cameras.

Sensors, authentication techniques, and connectivity options are all the same as in the Pro model. The Vivo X Fold 3 weighs 219 grams and has a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W cable charging.
