The company has deployed 5G on the 3.3GHz and 26GHz mmWave spectrum bands, except for Bihar, which has only the 3.3GHz band.

  • Postpaid Users: Opt for the REDX 1101 plan for 5G benefits.

These plans aim to provide affordable access to 5G while aligning with the company’s revival strategy.

Catching Up With Jio and Airtel

Vi’s 5G launch comes after significant delays. Jio and Airtel introduced 5G services shortly after the 2022 telecom auction, while Vi struggled due to financial and operational challenges. However, the company seems to be accelerating its revival plan, moving up its 5G timeline by three months from the initial March 2025 target.

What Lies Ahead for Vi

With 17 cities already live, Vi plans to expand its 5G coverage in the coming months. This launch is a pivotal moment for the company as it seeks to regain competitiveness in the Indian telecom market. Enhanced connectivity and faster internet are expected to benefit users while improving Vi’s market position.
