According to the announcement, unmarried men and women falling within this age bracket will receive a monthly pension of Rs 2,750. The pension will be available to those with an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakhs. A report from the Chief Minister’s office estimates that around 1.25 lakh unmarried individuals will benefit from this pension scheme, as reported by ABP News. In addition to unmarried individuals, the Chief Minister also declared a monthly pension for widowers between the ages of 40 and 60.
