In a latest update, the UAE passport maintains its status as the most powerful passport around the world, according to the 2024 Passport Index by Arton Capital.

Here Arton Capital is a global financial advising organization.

It appears that the list of the world’s most powerful passports got a little competition.

And why not as the folks who hold it must be feeling proud and overwhelmed. 

Why Is the UAE Passport Listed As The Most Powerful Passport ? 

When it comes to Arton Capital, the firm attributes the robustness of the UAE passport to the country’s favorable diplomatic efforts.

Those who hold the UAE passport, they enjoy entry into 180 countries worldwide, that too with a visa-free access to 120 countries.

It also comes with an option to obtain visas for 50 countries online or upon arrival.

Other Countries Offering Powerful Passports

Besides UAE, other countries are there which come with competitive perks.

So, following closely with the UAE, the second position for the powerful passports comes from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

These countries enable entry into almost 178 countries.

Similarly, passports from other countries including  Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria, and Switzerland come with access to 177 countries, hence securing the third position.

Next comes the passports from countries like Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Ireland, and South Africa.

It has taken the fourth spot by offering entry to 176 countries globally. 

The fifth position is acquired by the passports from countries including Singapore, Greece, Norway, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Japan, and New Zealand as they also allow entry into 176 countries.

What About India?

When it comes to the Indian passport, it stands at number 66, along with Zambia on the 2024 Passport Index by Arton Capital.

With the Indian passport, it provides access to 198 countries but 121 out of them require Visa notably.

On the brighter side, with an Indian passport, one can enjoy Visa-free travel in 26 countries.

Similarly, it comes with a Visa on arrival requirement for 51 countries.
