Tata Motors announced that its electric small commercial vehicle (SCV) customers now have access to over 25,000 public charging stations spread across India.

The charging network covers more than 150 cities, including major logistics hubs such as Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

To further expand this network, Tata Motors has signed agreements with 13 leading charging point operators, with the goal of adding another 25,000 public chargers within the next year.

All current and upcoming charging stations will be connected to Tata Motors’ digital platform ‘Fleet Edge’, enabling users to locate and navigate to charging points in real time.

According to Tata Motors, the broader charging ecosystem is designed to boost operational efficiency and give greater range confidence to last-mile delivery operators, a key segment for SCVs.

Alongside this, the company operates more than 200 dedicated EV support centres across the country to ensure quick service and maximize vehicle uptime.

Tata Motors’ electric SCV portfolio currently includes the Ace Pro EV, Ace EV, and Ace EV 1000.

More than 10,000 Tata Ace EVs are already on Indian roads, and together they have logged over six crore kilometres.

The recently launched Ace Pro EV is attracting interest from operators, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets.

Pinaki Haldar, Vice President and Business Head of SCVPU at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said the milestone of 25,000 public charging stations represents “a key step in advancing electric cargo mobility and strengthening the enabling ecosystem.”

Tata Motors is working on multiple new models for the Indian market.

In the last few days, some of these models have been spied on test considering the automobile manufacturer is expected to launch multiple new cars and SUVs this year.

Earlier in January, Tata unveiled the production-spec Harrier EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

The brand showcased the pre-production version of the petrol-powered Sierra SUV at this very same event.
