Dual Space Cities for a Global Hub

The ambitious Andhra Pradesh Space Policy 4.0 outlines two dedicated space cities — one in Lepakshi and one in Tirupati. While Lepakshi will cater to broader space-related industries, Tirupati will focus on manufacturing and launches, aiming to attract significant investment and create thousands of jobs in the private space sector.

Quantum Valley in Amaravati

In addition to space tech, Naidu revealed that India’s first quantum computer will be operational in Amaravati by January 1st in collaboration with IBM. The project will form the backbone of a “Quantum Valley” ecosystem, serving universities, startups, and research bodies, making Andhra Pradesh the sixth region globally to use advanced quantum technology.

IT and Data Centre Growth in Visakhapatnam

Naidu also showcased Andhra Pradesh’s IT boom, announcing that the state secured over $100 billion in tech investment last year. Global giants like Google, TCS, and Cognizant are setting up new projects in Visakhapatnam, which is expected to surpass India’s entire current data centre capacity within the next two years, establishing itself as a premier data hub.

Building a Future-Ready Tech Ecosystem

The Chief Minister emphasized a strategy that combines foreign investment with indigenous innovation, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leader in emerging fields like space, quantum computing, and IT infrastructure. The vision aims not only to drive economic growth but also to place the state at the forefront of India’s technology revolution.
