Redmi has now officially introduced the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G in India on April 2, 2026, conf₹irming earlier teasers and revealing full details about the device.

Moreover, this special edition builds on the standard Redmi Note 15 5G by offering improvements in key areas such as battery size, while retaining core hardware elements like the processor.

In terms of pricing, reports suggest that the SE model is positioned more affordably, expected to be priced below ₹20,000, whereas the base Redmi Note 15 5G starts at ₹22,999.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G comes equipped with a large 5,800mAh battery, which boasts of over 44 hours of usage on a single charge, making it more powerful than the standard model’s 5,520mAh unit.
Additionally, the phone supports 45W wired fast charging.
The smartphone is being sold in India online through Flipkart e-commerce.
Furthermore, buyers can choose from three colour options: Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red), and Frosted White.
Notably, the Crimson Reserve variant stands out with a vegan leather back panel and a slim 7.82mm profile.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Camera and Other Features
The phone features a dual rear camera system housed in a squircle-shaped module, led by a 50-megapixel MasterPixel primary sensor capable of recording videos in up to 4K resolution.
In comparison, the standard Redmi Note 15 5G offers a higher-resolution 108-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, highlighting a difference in camera setup between the two models.
On the performance front, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core chipset, the same processor found in the standard version, ensuring consistent performance across both devices.
The company further claims that the phone will deliver “48-month lag-free performance,” along with a 10% improvement in GPU output and a 30% boost in CPU efficiency, promising smoother long-term usage.
