Further indicating that Samsung and Vivo dominated the market by occupying most of the market share.

Increasing Shipments For ‘Made in India’ Smartphone
Similarly, the former, along with Apple together accounted for a combined 94 percent of the total smartphone exports from the country.
These brands have definitely benefitted from the government’s PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) scheme.
Moving ahead, Dixon claimed the position of India’s top manufacturer of smartphones and feature phones with registering a 39 percent YoY growth.
The ‘Make in India’ Service, Samsung seems to have retained its spot from last year as the top smartphone manufacturer of 2024 as per Counterpoint Research’s.
The company has registered a 6 percent YoY growth and a 13 percent YoY increase in exports.
So far, the brand has occupied an overall share of 20 percent in the Indian smartphone market.
Vivo Holding Second Spot
Vivo positioned itself at the second position with a 14 percent market share.
It could be possible considering its offline expansion and improved distribution network cited as the contributing factors.
Contrary to this, the whole game changed for Oppo as the brand has witnessed a 34 percent decline in shipments, slipping to the fourth spot.
On the other hand, Dixon achieved a 39 percent YoY growth, owing to its recent partnerships with the Transsion brands as well as Realme as per the analysis.
The company has achieved the top manufacturer rank of smartphones and feature phones in the country.
Tata Electronics has gained the place as the fastest growing manufacturer of 2024 with a 107 percent YoY increase.
According to the Counterpoint, iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 were the major volume contributors.
The company has ventured into semiconductor fabrication with a factory established in Haryana while cementing its position as a key player in the global electronics supply chain.
The brand appears to be building an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) plant in Assam.
In the meantime, DBG Technology, being a manufacturer of smartphones for brands such as Xiaomi and Realme in India, also recorded a double-digit growth.
