Some more details about the impending One UI 7 for Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets has surfaced through another leak.

While a significant redesign is not anticipated, Android 15 will include additional AI capabilities.

Leaks Reveal One UI 7 Details

Comparing one UI 7 to previous years shows us some significant changes. One example would be notifications from the Quick Settings panel will be separated by a newly designed two-page notification panel.

With One UI 7, Samsung is redesigning every system icon and departing from Material Design.

With this update, Samsung is introducing its own take on Apple’s Dynamic Island.

A short movie displays a status bar chip that expands and vanishes on a timer.

Users will be able to send video calls between Galaxy phones that are linked to the same Samsung account thanks to “continuity notifications”.

Google’s Cross-Device Services, which enables users to transfer calls and texts between smartphones, Chromebooks, and browsers, is comparable to this service.

Additional modifications include rounded menu taps and button placeholders, among other UI features.

On Monday, Samsung is anticipated to make an announcement about the One UI 7 beta’s release. SmartPrix and chunvn8888’s information leak points to a substantial divergence from accepted design practices.

Modifications Intended to Close Gap Between Basic Interface and User Expectations

The modifications are intended to close the gap between the basic interface and user expectations. The new design philosophy departs from the Material Design tenets that have been prevalent in previous years.

The new two-page notification panel will provide for independent access to the Quick Settings panel and notifications.

The redesigned icons will have more three-dimensional components and depth. A preview of the new Dynamic Island-like feature may be seen in the status bar chip expansion video.  Additionally, enhanced cross-device video call functionality will be achieved using continuity alerts.

One UI 7’s design updates will include more rounded UI elements.
