Samsung's Latest OS: One UI 7 Starts Rolling Out For These Smartphones

Finally, Samsung has shared its official One UI 7 rollout schedule having long-awaited update  seeding on April 7, starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 devices.

One UI 7 Launch 

The smartphone brand plans to gradually expand this update to more Samsung smartphones and tablets such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S10 series and Tab S9 series.

Please note here that this expansion will be market-dependent, so some countries will receive the update ahead of others.

One UI 7 is loaded with a ton of new features such as the Now Bar, streamlined visuals, new widgets, and lock screen customizations. 

Besides this the users are most likely to get Samsung’s latest AI features, including AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assists and Audio Eraser.

According to Samsung, this update would feature a “bold new design”, as well as smarter AI features.

One UI 7 Availability

If you are wondering regarding the One UI 7 availablity, it will be rolling out on April 7.

On this day , Samsung will be rolling out the most recent set of devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. 

After this, Samsung will be rolling out the update for older devices including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series, in the following weeks.

One UI 7 Specifications 

One UI 7 will sport a simplified home screen paired with redesigned One UI widgets and lock screen.

In addition to this, the update would feature a simple, impactful and emotive design, with streamlined design to improve the overall experience, according to Samsung.

Besides this there will be updates to Now Bar which was earlier introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, it  will provide real-time updates to users.

With a simple swipe, the users will be able to

check details like what song’s playing or check their run progress without unlocking their phone.

Now, Samsung wants to provide a “more intuitive experience” for users that is why it is bringing AI features.

This can be done while watching any video as users will be able to swipe the Edge Panel and click ‘AI Select’ icon and save it as a GIF file, something we have seen with the S25 series. 

It’s writing Assist feature is expected to make its way to One UI 7 update. This would allow users to summarise or format written content according to their needs. 

In addition to this, the users will be able to sketch something simple and see it convert into a proper sketch with the use of Drawing Assist.

It’s Audio Eraser will enhance users’ videos by isolating categories of sounds and removing unwanted noise in videos.
