In July 2025, Samsung is anticipated to release its first smartphone that folds in three, which may be dubbed the Galaxy G Fold.
At Samsung’s yearly foldable event, the gadget will be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.

Samsung To Launch Smartphone That Folds in Three
In October 2023, Samsung debuted its triple-fold concept at the 2023 Samsung Developer Conference (SDC).
After Huawei unveiled the Mate XT, the first triple-fold smartphone in history, in September 2024, the need to release a triple-fold phone became even more pressing.
Prior to its recent international release, the Huawei Mate XT was only available in China.
In April 2025, Samsung is anticipated to start sourcing parts for the Galaxy G Fold, with mass production to follow shortly thereafter.
A cautious rollout strategy and high pricing are suggested by the first batch’s limited quantity.
Despite being announced in 2025, the phone may not be on sale until January 2026, according to reports.
With a 9.96-inch unfolded screen and a 6.54-inch height, the Samsung tri-fold will be thicker than the Huawei Mate XT.
Samsung’s Phone To Have a G-shaped Fold
Samsung’s phone will have a G-shaped fold, in which the outer screens fold inward, as opposed to Huawei’s S/Z-shaped fold.
It is anticipated that this G-shaped folding design will increase durability and extend the device’s lifespan.
The absence of the under-display camera technology could result in a hole-punch cutout on the main screen.
The hole-punch cutout may enhance the quality of the front camera but may also have a minor effect on the sleek design.
According to Samsung’s customary foldable release schedule, the official launch event is anticipated to take place in July 2025.
Samsung is anticipated to release the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, another foldable phone, this year in addition to the Galaxy G Fold.
After a much-anticipated launch at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in California, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is officially on open sale in India. Previously available for pre-order, the new phones can now be purchased through major online and offline retail channels. Alongside the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, Samsung has teased the Galaxy S25 Edge, a slim flagship expected to arrive in Q2 2025.
