Samsung has launched the W26 in China as its newest W-series foldable phone, which is based on the Galaxy Z Fold lineup.

The phone features a similar design and specifications to the book-style Galaxy Z Fold released earlier this year.

It includes a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-inch foldable inner display, and a 6.5-inch cover screen.

The device is powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and houses a 4,400mAh battery, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Unlike the global version, the Samsung W26 offers more memory and includes direct satellite connectivity.

The Samsung W26 is priced at CNY 16,999 (around ₹2,11,600) for the 16GB + 512GB model, and CNY 18,999 (around ₹2,36,500) for the 16GB + 1TB model.

It is available for purchase in China through Samsung’s website in two color options — Dan Xihong (red and gold) and Xuan Yao Black (black and gold).

The phone features an 8-inch inner AMOLED display with a QXGA+ (1,968×2,184 pixels) resolution.

It also has a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1,080×2,520 pixels) cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness.

Samsung W26 Features Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip with 16GB RAM and Up to 1TB Storage

The Samsung W26 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

It comes with Android 16-based One UI 8 and supports several Galaxy AI features such as Smart Collection, Smart Drag and Drop, and Smart Password Manager.

The camera setup includes a 200-megapixel primary lens, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens.

There is a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the inner foldable screen and another 10-megapixel camera on the outer cover display.

The Samsung W26 supports direct satellite connectivity through China’s Tiantong mobile communications satellite system, enabling emergency calls and messages without network access.

It also supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity.

The phone is built with Samsung’s Armor Aluminum frame and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It packs a 4,400mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging.

When unfolded, the Samsung W26 measures 158.4×143.2×4.2mm and weighs 215g.

When folded, its dimensions are 158.4×72.8×8.9mm.
