This year, the biggest single order on Swiggy was from the IT city  Bengaluru.

The online food ordering and delivery platform announced that its top customer was from Bengaluru who made a single order worth Rs 75378 during Diwali in October, as per its latest trend report

Top Orders For Swiggy This Year

Customers from other cities are not much behind as the second big order came from another customer from Pune who paid Rs 71229 to buy several units of burgers and fries.

Talking on the subject, Swiggy said, “Our hungriest customers came from Bengaluru with a single order worth Rs 75,378 during Diwali, followed by a customer in Pune who ordered burgers and fries for his entire team with a bill value of Rs 71229,”.

It doesn’t end here as another customer from Bengaluru alone placed a staggering 118 orders for gourmet dishes in just a week, the report mentioned.

City Most Saved On Swiggy

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that the people in Bengaluru saved the most with the Swiggy One service with free deliveries.

Further, the report noted, “Bangalore emerged as the top city that saved the most with Swiggy One. Making the most of the benefits, members from Bangalore saved over INR 100 Crores followed closely by those in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi. One member from Delhi alone saved the highest of Rs 2.48 lakh,”.

Here, ‘Swiggy One’ is a subscription scheme provided by the food aggregator that offers free deliveries, attractive prices and other privileges.

Most Ordered Dishes On Swiggy

When it comes to the top-ordered item, Biriyani aced the game as Indians ordered 137 plates per minute in 2022. 

The report stated that “In 2021, customers ordered 115 biryanis per minute, and in 2022 it rose to 137 a minute, reaching 2.28 per second. India’s taste buds also explored foreign flavors with Ravioli (Italian) and Bibimbap (Korean) emerging as popular choices.”

Second place is occupied by the Masala dosa as it is the second most ordered dish and chicken fried rice was third. 

Samosa became the top snack of the year, with almost four million orders.

When it comes to non vegetarian food, Chicken was the most-ordered meat item with over 29.86 lakh orders. 

In the meat delivery category, Bengaluru ginined no. 1 place followed by Hyderabad and Chennai.

This year, dishes like Italian Ravioli and Korean Bibimbap were the most popular foreign choices.
