July 2025 Visa Bulletin Brings Modest Relief for Indian Green Card Applicants
The EB-1 and EB-2 categories’ final action dates won’t change.
A week will be added to the EB-3 Final Action Date.
There will be significant date changes for a number of family-sponsored green card categories.
The Final Action Date for the F1 category (unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens) is moved from June 8, 2016, to July 15, 2016.
Between January 1, 2022, and September 1, 2022, there is a notable increase in the F2A category, which includes spouses and children of permanent residents.
The date has been moved from September 22, 2016, to October 15, 2016, for F2B (unmarried sons and daughters of permanent residents who are 21 years of age or older).
From June 22, 2011, to August 1, 2011, the F3 category (married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens) will be in effect.
The Final Action Date for the F4 category (siblings of adult U.S. citizens) was June 15, 2006, but it is now July 8, 2006.
The Final Action Date for EB-3 (Skilled Workers) has been moved from April 15, 2013, to April 22, 2013.
Regarding the family-sponsored case’s Dates for Filing:
From February 1, 2025, to March 1, 2025, F2A advances by one month.
The October 1, 2006, F4 filing date has been moved to December 1, 2006.
The filing dates for all employment-based visa categories remain unchanged.
Trump Brings In New Rule For Lawful Permanent Residents In US
Lawful permanent residents in the US must now take note of an important change introduced by USCIS. Starting May 29, 2025, only the 01/20/25 edition of Form I-90 will be accepted for replacing a Green Card. Any other edition, including the 04/01/24 version, will be rejected.
Form I-90 is the official application used to replace or renew a Permanent Resident Card, commonly known as the Green Card. This form is mandatory for lawful permanent residents whose cards:
- Have expired
- Will expire in the next 6 months
- Have been lost, stolen, or damaged
Having a valid Green Card at all times is a legal requirement—even if applying for US citizenship.
