Running on the KaiOS operating system, the JioPhone Prima delivers an array of features, supporting essential applications like YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Google Assistant. This facilitates users in accessing social media, messaging, and voice assistance seamlessly on their budget-friendly devices.

Ensuring uninterrupted usage, the JioPhone Prima is equipped with a 1800mAh battery, providing extended battery life. Additionally, the device supports 23 languages, catering to the diverse linguistic preferences of Indian users.

JioPhone Prima: Expanding Horizons with Enhanced Functionality and Rural Connectivity

The phone boasts enhanced functionality with built-in cameras for video calling and photography, offering a comprehensive solution for communication and capturing memories. Preloaded with a suite of Jio applications, including JioTV, JioCinema, JioSaavn, and JioPay, users have access to a wide range of entertainment and payment options.

Building on the success of the JioBharat phone launched by Reliance Industries at ₹999, the parent company of Jio, the JioPhone Prima aims to further expand its user base. It targets customers, especially in rural areas, by providing an affordable and feature-rich 4G option.

Despite the overall decline of 6% year-over-year in the feature phone market, the 4G feature phone segment in India witnessed exceptional growth, surpassing 300% in Q3 2023, according to a recent report by CyberMedia Research (CMR). The JioPhone Prima aligns with this growth trajectory, contributing to the evolving landscape of affordable and technologically advanced mobile options in the country.
