Last month, Realme launched the Realme 12 Pro 5G series having two models, the vanilla Realme 12 Pro 5G and the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G Smartphones in India.
Realme 12 Pro 5G Series Launch
With the launch of this latest line of the Realme 12+ 5G model, the Chinese smartphone maker is looking to expand its smartphone lineup in the country.
Last week, the smartphone maker officially teased the launch of the model in India, in a post on social media platform X (earlier Twitter).
Besides this, the company’s Indian website now has a microsite for the smartphone that has also gone live.
Interestingly, this page also talks about the Realme 12+ 5G moniker which teases the model with the tagline – āOne More Plusā.
This indicates that the upcoming smartphone will be the Realme 12+ 5G model.
Besides this, the tease also contains a green faux leather finish for the smartphone alongside “unseen 12 upgrades.”
In addition to this, there is also an anticipation of the launch of a vanilla Realme 12 5G model.
Although, there is no official confirmation on it yet.
Prior to this, a report by Nashville Chatters indicates that the Realme 12+ 5G smartphone was listed on Geekbench and Indiaās BIS site with the model number RMX3867.

From these listings, it can be deduced that the smartphone will come powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset which is further backed with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
Notably, this chipset is also powering the other models including the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro.
When it comes to screen, the device is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen.
For taking pictures, the Realme 12+ 5G is expected to house a triple rear camera setup which is likely to include 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro shooter.
The handset may feature a 16MP front snapper for taking selfies and attending video calls.
It is noteworthy here that the global variant of the smartphone is expected to get a dual rear camera unit having a 64MP primary sensor alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens
This smartphone may be powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit and may weigh 190 grams.
