Earlier, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) had announced half-day leave for all central government offices and establishments for the mega event.

School Holiday in Various States

In view of the high-profile temple ceremony led by Prime Minister Modi, several state governments have declared a public holiday on January 22nd, including closing educational institutions.

Uttar Pradesh schools and colleges will be shut, while liquor shops shall remain closed statewide. Madhya Pradesh has announced a school holiday while also declaring it a dry day.

Goa, Chhattisgarh and Haryana have similarly declared public holiday for schools given the Ram Mandir inauguration. States aim to enable people to participate in or celebrate this important Hindu ceremony.

Special Preparations for PM Modi Visit

Elaborate arrangements by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are underway in Ayodhya including welcome and hospitality for attending VVIPs like PM Modi.

As a special memento ‘Ram Raj’ sacred soil from the temple would be gifted to guests. The soil is considered divinely graced to enhance ambiance when kept in home gardens or pots.

Culmination of Years-Long Efforts

The Pran Pratishtha conducted by head priest Mahant Lakshmikant Dixit on January 22 marks the culmination of decades-long efforts by devotees across India and worldwide.

The Ram Mandir is a revered pilgrimage symbolizing faith, unity and cultural heritage for Hindus globally. By declaring mass holidays and shutdowns, states hope to facilitate greater participation in this historic moment.

As Prime Minister Modi issues commemorative stamps, the grand temple inauguration promises to usher in spiritual awakening plus growth opportunities for Ayodhya and beyond.
