On July 31, Poco confirmed the imminent launch of the Poco M6 Pro 5G smartphone in India. Through a teaser on social media, the Xiaomi sub-brand provided hints about the device’s design. The Poco M6 Pro 5G is portrayed in cyan color, showcasing a dual rear camera setup.
Although the exact launch date remains undisclosed, the teaser indicates that the launch is likely just around the corner. The upcoming device is expected to be a successor to the Poco M4 Pro 5G, which debuted in the country in February last year.
Himanshu Tandon, the Head of Poco India, shared the news of the Poco M6 Pro 5G’s arrival in India via a tweet. The tweet included the tags ‘Ready to disrupt the 5G game’ and ‘coming soon.’

The teaser images reveal the cyan-colored back of the phone, featuring curved panels. It resembles the Poco M4 Pro 5G, showcasing a similar rectangular-shaped camera module and a dual-tone design. The device is equipped with a dual rear camera unit along with an LED flash and carries Poco branding on the rear.
Variants
As a successor to the Poco M4 Pro 5G, the Poco M6 Pro 5G is expected to come with various upgrades. The Poco M4 Pro 5G was introduced in February last year and offered different configurations with prices ranging from Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, and Rs. 18,999 for the top-end 8GB + 128GB variant.

The Poco M4 Pro 5G featured a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dot Display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It ran on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The phone sported a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. For selfies, it had a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.45 lens.
The device was powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W Pro fast charging support.
