Poco India Head Himanshu Tandon announced that the company is getting ready to launch the most affordable 5G smartphone in India.

Poco & Airtel Will Launch India's Most Affordable 5G Smartphone!

Himanshu Tandon extended the partnership with Airtel for the launch in his announcement, which was made via X (formerly Twitter).

Poco India Set To Launch Most Affordable 5G Smartphone in India

Poco already offers the Poco C51, an Airtel-only model with a 5,000mAh battery and the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. The upcoming gadget is the Poco M6 5G Airtel edition, not a “Airtel version” of an already-released device.

Tandon stressed that purchasing the least expensive 5G gadget available will benefit customers. On December 22, 2023, Poco M6 made its debut in India, where it was available in three storage variants with varying RAM and storage capacities.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor powers the Poco M6, offering up to 256GB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM. The 6.74-inch display on the smartphone offers a smooth viewing experience thanks to its 90Hz refresh rate.

The Poco M6 5G has a front-facing 5MP AI Selfie camera in addition to a 50MP AI Dual camera setup. It has a 5000mAh battery that can be charged quickly (18W) for longer use.

Poco M6 5G: Variants and Prices

The Poco M6 variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 9,499 in India.

The Poco M6’s 6GB+128GB variant costs Rs 10,499 in India.

The Poco M6 8GB+256GB variant costs Rs 12,499 in India.

All of the smartphone’s storage options are reasonably priced.

It is anticipated that the Poco M6 5G will offer better performance and connectivity thanks to its 5G capabilities. Customers on a tight budget who desire 5G connectivity without going overboard are likely to be drawn to the product.

Poco intends to provide consumers with exclusive advantages through their partnership with Airtel, like bundled plans or offers. Himanshu Tandon shared details about the upcoming device with users through social media engagement.

The announcement sparked a lot of interest from both prospective customers and smartphone enthusiasts. The competitive features and affordable price of the Poco M6 5G are anticipated to further strengthen Poco’s position in the Indian smartphone market.
