A fresh ranking by Blind, the anonymous social platform for verified professionals, has named Zoho, Target, and NVIDIA among the best companies to work for in India. Meanwhile, Amazon and Paytm have landed among the lowest-rated employers, highlighting growing concerns over management and work culture.
Insights From Over 7,000 Companies
Blind analysed reviews from professionals accessing the platform from India, covering data submitted over the past year. Employees rated their companies across six key dimensions: overall satisfaction, career growth, work-life balance, compensation and benefits, company culture, and trust in management. Ratings were given on a 5-point scale.
Culture and Leadership Matter More Than Pay
While salary often grabs headlines, Blind’s analysis found that compensation is a poor predictor of overall satisfaction. Instead, company culture and trust in leadership were the biggest factors behind positive reviews.
Alex Han, Communications Manager at Blind, noted that non-monetary factors like culture and management trust consistently drive higher satisfaction. He added that this trend remains strong in India, just as it does globally.
The rankings show this contrast clearly. American Express, ranked second overall, has a median salary of $32,250, placing it in the bottom 29% for pay. Meanwhile, Coinbase, offering one of the highest median salaries at $82,000, ranked among the worst, showing that high pay cannot fix cultural issues.

Zoho’s Strong Showing
Zoho’s inclusion among global tech giants marks a milestone for Indian companies. Founded by Sridhar Vembu, the Chennai-based SaaS company earned high scores for company culture, putting it alongside American peers like Apple and NVIDIA.
Search Trends and Employee Priorities
Blind’s data also revealed the top searched companies by Indian users, which included Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, and NVIDIA. Popular search terms like “India offer,” “layoff,” “promotion,” and “H-1B” reflected employees’ growing concerns around job security and career growth.
To maintain accuracy, Blind only considered companies with at least 10 reviews submitted by verified Indian users. Employment was verified through corporate email authentication and other checks. Salary data included base pay, bonuses, and equity, where available.
Since May 2020, Blind has gathered insights from professionals across 350,000 companies globally, aiming to promote transparency and empower better employment decisions.
