OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to launch its first clamshell-style foldable smartphone, tentatively named the OnePlus V Flip. According to a tip from Digital Chat Station, the phone could debut in the first half of 2025, likely between April and June. This launch marks a significant expansion in OnePlus’ foldable offerings, allowing it to compete directly with market leaders like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr.

While some speculate that the OnePlus V Flip might be a rebranded Oppo Find N5 Flip, conflicting rumors suggest it could bring original features to the table. What’s Next: The OnePlus Open 2

In addition to the V Flip, OnePlus is reportedly working on the OnePlus Open 2, set for an early 2025 release. This next-generation foldable is expected to feature the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising superior performance.

The camera system could include a 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera with optical zoom, catering to photography enthusiasts. The device might also pack a robust 5,700mAh battery, a notable upgrade from its predecessor’s 4,805mAh battery, ensuring longer usage on a single charge.
