Indian multinational ridesharing company Ola has announced the next Ola S1X series of electric scooters.

The bike manufacturer plans to address range anxiety and battery longevity issues through these new scooters.

Ola S1 X Series of Electric Scooters Launched

The Ola S1 X series of electric scooters are available in three models: Ola S1 X (2kWh battery), Ola S1 X (4kWh battery), and Ola S1 X+ (3kWh battery with smart connectivity).

Additionally, the starting price of the Ola S1 X with a 2kWh battery is Rs 79,999, whereas, the Ola S1 X with a 4kWh battery is priced at Rs 1,09,999.

Including dual-tone finishes, the company offers seven color variants on the Ola S1 X series, such as Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver.

The Ola S1 X+ variant comes with a larger 5-inch segmented LCD instrument console. Additional features like remote unlock, navigation, predictive maintenance, and GPS connectivity have also been added to the bike.

Performance, Features of Ola S1 X

Coming to the performance of the Ola S1 X, the acceleration goes from 0 to 40KM/s in 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 90KM/hr, and a range of up to 190KM (IDC) on the variant with a 4kWh battery.

Additionally, Ola will be providing a warranty of 8 years or up to 80,000 kms for free on the Ola S1X series. This also includes 100% defect coverage. The warranty can be extended by users up to 1,25,000 kms for Rs 12,999.

Coming to the batteries on the Ola S1 X series, the batteries come with an IP 67 rating for water and dust resistance and offer greater thermal efficiency. Also, the owner will be able to transfer ownership when selling the scooter.

As per reports, the Ola S1 X series is available for pre-order and EMI plans can also be purchased from partner banks. Additionally, the bike also comes with discounts of up to 5% or Rs. 5000 when bought using specific credit cards.
