This decision, confirmed by Indian Gig Workers Front President Keshav Kshirsagar, was made during a recent meeting with local cab drivers.

According to the approved structure:
- First 1.5 km: ₹37
- Every additional km: ₹25
So for a 10 km ride, passengers will now pay:
- ₹37 + (8.5 km × ₹25) = ₹249.50
This is significantly higher than the current average non-surge fare of ₹175 for a similar distance.

- Ghole Road to Salunke Vihar (10 km)
- Now: ₹219 (UberGo, April 19, 9 PM)
- From May 1: ₹249.50
- Wakad to Pune Airport (20 km)
- Now: ₹370
- From May 1: ₹37 + (18.5 × ₹25) = ₹499.50
These price hikes are likely to be felt most by daily commuters and airport travelers.

Keshirsagar mentioned that a public awareness campaign will be conducted before the rollout to inform commuters. The new rates are expected to benefit drivers but may create pushback from passengers used to cheaper app fares.
